Cherry has been a landmark of the Long Beach scene for years, and it recently got a facelift. The Grand Re-Opening session was a heavy one.

With some financial help from Vans and Zumiez, Geoff Rowley and the ASK foundation were able to do some remodeling and permitting in order to gain the city’s full approval for a permanent home to Cherry Park's skatepark.

The legendary Clipper spot is about to become a handicap-access elevator. Lots of skate history here adds up to one epic goodbye session. Thanks to SFUSD for their consent. Spots come and go, but Clipper is forever. -Jake Phelps
