Lake Havasu City, Arizona is well known as a popular destination for Spring Breakers. Come every March the lake along the west side of the city is swarming with tribal tatted bros chugging lite beer and bronzed babes in bikinis urged to “dump 'em out” for a bevy of “fuck yeah’s” and maybe even an air horn blast from a passing jet ski. The other eleven months out of the year this small city in north west Arizona is populated by retirees and speed boat racers trying to avoid frying in the desert heat.  All that may change now that the “largest skatepark in Arizona” was built on the shores of Lake Havasu.  Designed and built by California Skateparks with an opening day blessing by Street League’s Rob Dyrdek this massive facility features a Street League Certified skate plaza. A flow course with a helmet style cradle, in honor of a Havasu vet who died in action.  Plus a heart shaped pool complete with pool coping and for the street gnarlers a 14 stair that took out at least a half dozen boards on opening day.  –Joe Hammeke




The street course was packed like the lake on spring break with city locals in hopes of a glimpse of Rob Dyrdek.


Bmx trains were clogging the flow bowl all day.
