All over the world, there are people who love sports and daydream about being in various game-winning championship scenarios. The odds of ever participating in these momentous occasions are not quite zero, but they are close to it. A thousand different variables spread out over years are required to line up perfectly, including the actions of other people who are completely out of your control.

In skating, there are few who dream of championship scenarios (thank god), but at any point someone can step up and make a big contribution to skating and inspire others. And in the case of Mickey, you can even have pro skaters cheering YOU on and sharing your stoke. And remember, this isn’t a fly-out. It’s a blast-off. —Adam Creagan




Congrats on the clip. A lot of people, even non-skaters, seem stoked on it. What kind of reaction have you gotten, aside from what’s obviously in the video?  
Thanks, man. It’s been crazy, even Snoop Dogg reposted it on Facebook. All the homies have shown mad love and support with boards and clothes. Shout out to Taylor Kirby for giving me a Shep Dawgs Vol.4 board! That baby is going on the wall for sure.

How many tries did it take you?
That day was first try.

Did every previous attempt involve a big slam, or were they not too bad?
I slammed bad one time. It was a double head banger. I kicked the board out and it flew into this lady’s head and I smacked my head on the ground.

Did you make it over the fence every attempt, or did you ever come up short?
Made it over, thank god.

Was there a traffic blocker every try or did you sometimes just time it?
That would have been insane if I didn’t have the homies blocking traffic and closing down the turning lane. Shout out to David Gravette especially, for being in the road blocking traffic with a broken hand.

Describe how you felt when you landed it.
It was insane. I couldn’t believe it. One of the best feelings in the world, rolling away. You know?

A bunch of the C1RCA team was right there for your make. How did that come about?
I ran into Windsor James at the park and eventually the whole crew rolled through. Lannie Rhoades was down to film it on the HVX and I was ready to land it. The hype was unreal! #c1rcahouse!

Were they maybe the extra ingredient you needed to roll away or was that just a coincidence?
It definitely got me hyped to try it again. My heels were still recovering from the last attempt but I just said fuck it! So a little bit of both.

Where are you from? Are you really living in an RV?
Orlando, FL. Yeah, me and the homie Mikey Stevens are traveling around in his RV, skating and meeting some sick people. Living the dream.

Who are some of your favorite skaters?
Collin Provost, Taylor Kirby, Andrew Reynolds, Ryan Reyes.

What are your future plans?
Just keep skating and traveling the world with the homies!
